Well, I went gambling with my family the other day, boy did I lose or what. The moment I got there it was like the machines knew I was coming and were confabulating with each other, "oh, Tim is coming! I think we all should take his money and not let him win a penny" ...they were pretty damn good at doing it too. *sigh*
I will admit I could go to a casino for hours to people watch. You find the most captivating people there. From high ballers to ladies with so much skin pulled they look like a rag doll. The only thing that drives me nuts is the amount of smoke that is in the casino, I feel every smoker in the area calls each other and all go at the same time. So on top of the first hand smoke that these people get, they get more second hand smoke which just...ick. Another thing I notice at the casinos is where ever I am, the person next to me wins big. So if any of you see me at a casino, please, sit next to me, you will win big.
I had a wonderful time with my family though, especially after the casino. We all cooked a large meal and it was tasty. Then I got to play with my nephew and niece which are the best kids in the world, but they are pistols. If only I could bottle their energy. I played tackle the kids with Ethan and McKinley. This turned into me being very sore because a couple days ago I strained my gluteus maximus. I would love to know what I did, but it kills! It is getting better, but it's left me unable to exercise for a few days. Even though I told the kids that I was hurting, they thought it was a suggestion to not tackle me, so proceeded to do it anyway...oh well, just pop some ibprufen and i'll be fine.
I am gearing up for the semester to come. This semester will very tough, but my goal is to ace all my classes. I will be taking more organic chemistry, biochemistry, human nutrition classes, and advanced athletic training. I am excited to get this underway and just finish this all, but I know I am going to be pulling my hair out again and again. I have some new goals though with this school year and i am really trying to stick to them. Well my addiction to chick fil a is kicking in...

new year resolutions
I have been pondering a new year resolution. I am not quite sure what it would be, I know I was supposed to have this figured out sometime ago, but oh well. I don't want to do the standard "get into shape" resolution that is never kept, although I want to get in shape . There is a website I came across that had clever resolutions.
Little gem I found
As much as I already enjoy the "Please stop liking the Kardashians, all of them. It’s not helping anyone, least of all the Kardashians." I'm afraid that was a given for me. So I have to look for something more. There are two of the resolutions from that website that I actually want to try.
1) Wait 30 seconds before you look up a fact you can’t remember on your phone, and try to remember it using your brain. This is what the olden days were like. 2) Know which candidate you’re going to vote for in the upcoming presidential election, and know why.
I think those two resolutions are very doable. The first resolution is kind of hard if you think about it. How many times a day you have trouble thinking about something and then just look to your phone for the answer? In addition, it helps create neurons in your brain which can lead to better and brighter things. The second resolution, in my humble opinion, should be everyone's. I am quite a political person, I am working on keeping my thoughts to myself because stupid uneducated people and myself like to bicker. There are so many people that vote because they are just republican or democrat (both parties are incredibly flawed and I wish we would get rid of the two-party system). There fore people who should not be in office end up in office and our country gets fucked even more. As far as politics go, I'm not a fan of Obama. He hired the exact same administration that got our economy into this mess, his surveillance act (NDAA) is absurd, he has done nothing for same-sex marriage, and overall overstepping boundaries of the federal government. On the other hand, I strongly dislike every republican candidate. The only one that I like for the most part is Ron Paul. Otherwise our country is in so much trouble if one of those other candidates gets elected. I am all for tax-breaks for the middle class, but if you make 10 million a year and are only in the 11% tax bracket, there's a problem. On the other hand give tax breaks to those of us who are actually doing something like the doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and small business owners. We are the ones that are doing the work rather than sitting on wall street scratching my balls, doing a line of coke, and cheating my wife. I could ramble on about the idiocy of the united states politicians, corporations, and bankers.
Back on track, furthermore on resolutions, my goal is to get A's in all my classes for the semester. I am taking another organic chemistry class, more biochemistry, more nutrition classes (really fucking hard), and athletic training classes. Subsequently, I am trying to become a lab assistant in the neurophysiology/neurobiology lab where I would examine diseases of the spine (really super cool). On top of all that I am still hoping I get my pharmacy technician job. Oh! I forgot that I am an athletic trainer for the athletes at the university.

the restoration of a primordial blog
I have re-started this blog more times than Newt Gringich has remarried. I am a hard working student who has some of the most cockamamie circumstances set against me. Sometimes I wish I could make some of this stuff up. This past break has been eventful, but otherwise when I am in class during the semester I don't do anything but sleep, shit, and study; hopefully I can add work to that list of endeavors.
Here is a bit about me, besides reading my "about-me" section. I am a student at the University of Missouri. I study nutrition and exercise physiology. I have a keen interest in neurology, surgery, neuromuscular system, musculoskeletal system, physical rehabilitation, and sports medicine. I am still struggling with all I want to accomplish with my life even though I am so young (21 years of age). I work adamantly on my studies for school and I stumble quite a bit. I do not have the grades to make into medical school right away and that's a hurtful realization. It is still possible that I can raise my GPA (I am at a 3.0). I have been considering other routes such as being a physical therapist or being a physician assistant. I try hard not to give up on my aspirations, but it gets difficult sometimes.
Today was an eventful day. I am in Saint Louis, Missouri right now for break and so I had to travel back to where I go to school, Columbia, Missouri, so I could be interviewed at the University Hospital for a job as a pharmacy technician. Please send positive thoughts! I really want this job!
